Program Description

The National Federation of the Blind's extensive legal program has helped advance disability rights case law under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, creating more equitable workplaces, classrooms, and communities for blind Americans. Legal program services include access to legal information, education, high-stakes testing, parental rights, and employment. NFC provides federal and local resource lists to assist in self-advocacy in blindness-related legal matters. For more information about our legal program or to discuss any blindness-related legal concerns and questions, please submit the Legal Program Contact Us Form.
