The Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention and the Maryland State Board of Victim Services administers the VINE and VINE Protective Order Service Programs.

VINE - Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) allows victims to track offenders' custody, probation, parole, or protective order status. Victims can register to be automatically notified by phone and email of an offender's court hearings, probation, or release. Victims can also track the location and status of registered sex offenders. It is an automated service that is available 24 hours a day, in English and Spanish.

VINE Protective Order Service Program - The VINE Protective Order Service Program notifies victims when protective orders have been served. To receive notification, petitioners need to have the protective order case number. Register a protective order.

Note that if, as part of your petition for a protective, you are asking the court to waive your appearance until the respondent (alleged abuser) is served with a temporary protective order, then you must register with the VINE Protective Order Service Program.
